The Department of Physical Sciences convened its 2025/2026 Academic Year, Semester I meeting, which also featured a sensitization session on Improvement of Performance and Efficiency in the Public Service.
The meeting was chaired by the Chair of Department, Prof. Ochieng Ombaka, who guided members through the agenda. The Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology, Prof. Paul Kamweru, was also in attendance and provided additional guidance on aligning departmental practices with faculty and national standards.
During the sensitization session, members received detailed insights into the requirements of the Public Service Commission (PSC), including common infractions and the corresponding corrective actions. This engagement ensured that staff are better equipped to enhance performance and efficiency in line with public service expectations.
